All-timer reaches the big four-oh…

Here, there, everywhere
Here, there, nowhere
Itsy-bitsy witzy-witzy everywhere

Still on the endless loop, repeating forever. Is it a case of arrested development, or is it truly that good? We report, you decide!

Possibly!

Hey! How ya’ doin’ over there? Not even out of the first week of November now, but it feels like every remaining big thing for the rest of this year has just happened in the last five or six days: Breeders’ Cup, World Series (hoo-boy, a seven-game no-vanilla thrilla!), off-year elections, the return to standard time, etc. Really, we might as well just fast-forward to Turkey Day, have a one-week breather after that, and then zoom directly to Dec. 25. Who sez no?!

This kind of lingo has us at sixes and sevens…

Good to know that the kids are still driving us toward the vibrant, vital language of our times, even if the words themselves are numerals and, odder still, have no real meaning! Maybe the next time the pharmacy asks us to provide our birthdate, we can say, the month & day, and then, for the year of birth…‘SIX SEVEN SIX SEVEN SIX SEVEN AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!’

Another clean sheet

Earlier today your No. London Arse scored a bog-standard victory at home over Crystal Palace, thereby securing the outcome that famously gets sung to the heavens…‘one-nil to The Arsenal, one-nil…’ Coupled with Man City’s loss, the Gunners find themselves atop the English Premier League table now, 6 points clear of the Citizens & Liverpuddle, and 7 ahead of Man U. Currently their closest pursuer is — checks notes — Bournemouth, 4 pts. behind. Come on you Gunners!

Powder blues edged by Dodger Blue

Still reeling from the recent bad run of results from Philalala professional sports clubs, chief among those defeats obviously being your Phightin’ Phils’ frequently heartstopping and ultimately heartbreaking 2-1 loss to your La-La Land Los Doyers Thursday evening at Chavez Ravine, thereby eliminating the Nat’l. League East champeens from the 2025 MLB postseason. Today’s snapshot lede autofocuses on Mistah Kyle Schwarber (…SCHWARBER!), who for the last four years has bashed 187 HR & driven-in 434 runs in the regular season for the team and now enters the offseason likely to test his value in free-agency. If Thursday was indeed his final day as a member of the Phillies, all we can say is, well, ‘Thanks!’
