Yes, we are heavy on the sportsball coverage. It’s one of the last refuges of truth & credibility (mostly, except for rasslin’ & dope-up sports like cycling & outright flim-flam buncombe scams like U.S. Presidential golf). The ball don’t lie, and neither does the scoreboard. Boasts, bullying & braggadocio will always get beaten by the only thing that matters: the numerical result when the whistle blows, or when the final point or strike has been contested. Pop-culture, sci-fi, politics, even resto-reviewing all fall victim to the pernicious, invasive pervasiveness of influencers & loudmouths; propaganda for them, BUT NOT FOR SPORTSBALL. If you are against SPORTSBALL, the real kind, the true competition in the athletic arena, then you are the one who prefers rigged pursuits. Stay inside-the-lines, ya jabroni!

An up-and-down mood since last we posted: English Premiership title secured, UEFA Champions League glory still agonizingly unfulfilled. Next year for the Double, Triple, Quadruple etc. As always, #COYG!

The famous scoreline rang-out at the end of the evening at The Emirates, with table-topping Arsenal FC (a k a ‘your No. London Arse’) prevailing in their 37th game of the 38-game English Premier League season, edging a stubborn visitor in Burnley, 1-nil. The Gunners can capture their first league title for 22 yrs. with a win in their final game on Sunday; or if chasers Man City (R.I.P., Pep Guardiola!) somehow manage not to defeat host Bournemouth tomorrow. Clearly, the Arsenal’s claim to year-end hardware is at their own feet! As always, #COYG!
